Sourcing Update: Lamb

Sourcing Update: Lamb

You're now on our email list for Lamb products! As soon as we add items to the shop, you'll be the first to know!

Exciting news on the sourcing front! We are in talks with a new farm to source LAMB products!

Adding a farm takes time, planning, and lots of communication. Once we've identified a farm that raises livestock to our standards, we reach out to the farm and discuss the potential of working together.

A new farm partner then has to:
-learn what products we can use
-train staff and update their systems to manage new products
-educate their processing plant on how to capture products

At any point, a bump in the road can happen, but if it all goes smoothly, we then look to when we can get our first shipment.Once enough product has been captured to load onto a truck, we get a ship date and prepare things on our end to store, dry, and package each new item. It takes a full team here and on the farm's end to make it work!

In most cases, our partnership with a farm leads to:
-Additional revenue to the farm by selling products that didn't have a path to human markets
-The ability to hire more workers from their community to help
-Honoring the animal by creating less waste

Thank you so much for your continued support! We hope you are as excited as we are to add a new protein option to the site. This business wouldn't be where it is without passionate customers like you. We truly value you and know our farm partners do as well!

If there is anything we can do to take care of you better, don't hesitate to reach out!
